The project will result in a smoother cross-border operation of several judicial services. The solution will be scalable to all EU Member States. Most importantly, it will be implemented in such a way that it is sustainable beyond the life of the pilots. As a building block towards the realisation of an internal market without borders, this project will save time and money with a secure and easy way of taking care of your legal issues within the EU.

What is in it for you?

Maybe you bought a bicycle in another European country through an online seller and the supplier does not deliver. e-CODEX will develop the tools that will help you make a claim against the seller. Not by visiting various agencies (and filling in various forms) but just by sitting at your computer and all in your own language.

Governments can use e-CODEX to collect fines. Speeding in another EU country? You will receive that speeding ticket from your own country. And you have to pay to your local agency.
