Facts about the e-CODEX project
Why is e-CODEX needed?By following its strategic politics, the European Union is permanently adopting a renewed commitment to its partnerships with public institutions from different Member States and evidencing the willingness to increase openness and collaboration with the public.
As so, by taking into consideration that the eJustice is not limited to one particular field of law but is representing a horizontal issue affecting all fields of law which have cross-border dimensions, the e-CODEX project will offer technical solutions to be developed for European citizens who would benefit from its added value. What types of services are offered by e-CODEX?The broader vision of the project is that any citizen and/or legal professional in the EU can communicate electronically with any legal authority, including communication of legal authorities with each other. Services which will need to be developed are the ones which allow data exchange in the area of eJustice between the Member States. For any detailed information, please follow the e-CODEX Work Packages. How can the existing national initiatives on eJustice become more interoperable by implementing the e-CODEX project? These services will improve the efficiency of cross-border information and data exchange by making the different approaches that are currently used in the EU countries compatible. The service should also support innovations for legal authorities by reducing time and energy loss. How to join - How can your organisation cooperate with or contribute to e-CODEX?The e-CODEX partners are continually looking for ways to achieve better results and to fulfil the project's mission. In other words, they are looking for additional partners to gain full transparency, participation and collaboration for public services within the EU. |
