e-CODEX General Assembly in Berlin, Germany

The e-CODEX General Assembly met on November 15-16 at the permanent representation of North-Rhine Westphalia in Berlin, Germany. This event represented not only the next General Assembly but was also the kick-off meeting for the extension phase of e-CODEX. It provided a great opportunity for the new partners to get to know the project better and to meet with many of the current participants.

The first day started with a welcome to all the new partners. General project information was provided and participants were updated on the state of play of the project. Several administrative topics were introduced and briefly discussed.

The participants were updated on the project communication by the leader of work package 2 – communication & marketing and given an introduction to the marketing toolkit provided to project partners. This was followed by an introduction and overview of the project architecture given by the leader of work package 7 - architecture. The day ended with a quick overview of what to expect on day 2.

The evening get together was held in a pleasant environment and participants used the time to get to know each other better and to discuss open questions that had surfaced during the day.

Day 2 started with a recap of day 1 and a quick introduction to the topics to be covered that day. After that a work package carousel was on the agenda that gave the work package leads of the technical work packages (4-5-6) a chance to introduce their work and to give an overview of the current state of play.

In the afternoon, a plenary feedback session was held and the legal coordinator of the project used the time to introduce topics covered in the Legal and Security Subgroup. The rest of the day was then dedicated to the topic of piloting and gave the new participants an inside view of what it means to become a piloting country in the e-CODEX project.

The day was wrapped up by the project coordinator with a quick recap and an overview of the next steps to be taken.
